At ConnectLink, we minimize data collection to focus purely on professional utility. We collect information that you explicitly provide and data that helps us connect you with the right opportunities.

  • Account Data: Your name, email, professional title, and verified company credentials.
  • Intent Profile: What you are looking for—be it talent, capital, or specific advisory roles.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with potential matches and which sectors you explore.
  • Device Metadata: Basic telemetry to ensure secure login and optimized display across your devices.

2. How We Use It

We use your data to fuel our "Architectural Intent" engine. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

  • Intent-Based Matching: Connecting your current professional needs with others who have complementary intents.
  • Smart Recommendations: Surfacing high-value networking opportunities based on your historical professional trajectory.
  • Personalization: Adapting the dashboard interface to prioritize the metrics and connections that matter most to your current venture state.

3. Sharing

We believe professional data should remain within the professional sphere. We share data only under strict conditions:

We do not sell your personal data. We only share information with limited service providers who handle critical infrastructure (e.g., identity verification or secure cloud storage) under strict non-disclosure and data processing agreements.

  • Intent Blurring: Only show your high-level intent to users with a Match % above a certain threshold.
  • Selective Sync: Control which third-party professional platforms (like LinkedIn or GitHub) are visible to your matches.

6. Intent Matching Logic

Our Match % calculation is a transparent score based on three pillars:

A mathematical overlap between what you offer and what they seek.

Velocity Score

How active both parties are in the specific sector currently.

You can adjust the weighting of these pillars at any time in your "Discovery Settings."
